‘Solar Return’

The impact of going through two significant birthdays during a global pandemic left me with boundless questions but a necessary milestone of rebirth in tandem. I explored the concept of identity and how much it shifts as I continue to evolve. This self-portrait series explores the coming-of-age concepts of vulnerability, distortion, femininity, and boundaries, reflecting on how I attempted to put the puzzle pieces of my identity back in order only to find that the shapes had morphed and new pieces had formed.
